Domicare is a professional house minding service operating in the Halifax area. Our mission is to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing that your home and pets will be in good hands.
Some of the services offered by Domicare are:
- Regular property checks to comply with your insurance policy.
- We will bring in mail and newspapers.
- We will feed and administer TLC to cats and certain other "indoor" pets. Sadly, we are unable to do dog walking.
- We can keep your bird feeders filled.
- We will give your home a "lived in" look by adjusting lights, radios etc.
- We will water your plants.
- We can put out and retrieve garbage and compost containers.
- We can fill humidifiers and empty dehumidifiers.
- We will respond to emergencies such as burst pipes, etc.
- We can provide basic food provisions for your return.
- We can send you regular e-mail updates, if you wish.
Domicare is owned by Kathy MacCulloch, a native Nova Scotian who started the original Domicare Inc. in Westmount, Quebec in 1977. She returned to Nova Scotia in 1983 and established Goody Baskets Ltd, a gourmet basket and flower business. Although she has been pursuing other ventures over recent years, her enthusiasm for pets and plants remains undiminished! Her thirty plus years of home ownership have given her a practical approach to the issues which might arise in a house. Kathy and her team of helpers are trustworthy, reliable and conscientious. They are fully covered by liability insurance.
